after well over 3 years of radio silence, cadra once again emerges from his personal dungeon with a new (and partially fresh) bundle of techno tracks.

compared to its predecessor (rtn002):
less synthesized, more sample-driven.
less melody, more effects.
less shine, more gloss.
less force, more power.
less darkness, more gloom. (maybe.)

anyway, yeah, less static, more noise.

incidentally, this release and rtn002 fit nicely on a single 80-minute CDR... just so you know :)

that's pretty much a "best of", right there...

wow!
now this is awesome ^^
cadra, let me know if you want any of these tracks end up on reunion
(http://reuniverse.org)
also, i think it's time you update the site link to our site aswell, it's been awhile since reunionstudio.org disappeared from the nets .. ^^

1: thanks :))

2: nah, i don't want to split this release up, it's too much of a whole, complete package. but if i get myself onto another creative wave again, i'll make something exclusively for reunion.

3: yeah, i was wondering where it had gone... ^^ (also: done!)

haha, yeah. :D
well, in fact, i actually had a hard time trying to figure what's ruben's first name. that's issue number one! number two: i forgot my password. :O (though, considering what benefits one gets from subco membership, that's a bearable tragedy :D)

on topic!

I'm reaally glad to see subco... a-a.. yeah, that's the word "alive"! :) In fact, considering how much it existed now, what's going on ever here is excusable. why? because even famous subsource and many other netlabels crashed after 5-6 years of existence, so... Well, enough lyrics, let's see what this new EP prepared for us.

Desert storm... Solid driving techno, in both cases with solid kicks and basslines. I prefer original mix for the tempo and harder kick, although both versions are great if put into right/appropriate context. One little issue I noticed is that high frequencies seem to sound occasionally(!) "on the edge" (claps, snares). But maybe that's just the thing to get over over time. Anyway, nothing to panic about. Great work! :)

Lichtmaschine... both tracks do it equally for me this time. 'Magyarmx' shall be great for some floating techy set, while the original mix is more to banging. Mint stuff!

All you can yeat... that's my favourite track from the lot. Banging, banging and one more banging! Again, it took me some time to get used to it (same little issue with volume), but that's temporal. Love the bass and the depth of the kick. Two thumbs up!

As previously, second version should fit into a tad more smooth/floating set. Nice alternative.

Heist... well, it's good that you've put these two into the end, because this is nearly madness! :) Both are killers.

Ace tracks: 2(!), 3, 4, 5(!!), 7(!), 8

Nicely done!

P.S. and I want my password back! :)

"all you can *yeat..."

hehe... something between "yeah" and "eat", well that's quite an idea! :)

So, looking forward for more stuff to come other day from you... Keep rocking! ;)

the benefit of membership is, of course, not having to remind ruben of his first name all the time ;)

as for your password: i can't recover it, but i'll change it into something new and email it to you.

oh, and thanks for the review! :D
i like how it seems everyone has a different perspective on which tracks are the best. (my personal faves at the moment are 1, 3, 4 and 6... and 5. but this changes all the time.)

Hey cadra, it's been a'while :) Great stuff!

thanks! if you want to remix any of these (like 2.5 years ago with the original desert storm - holy crap; that long ago? yes, that long ago) feel free to ask for the sources. ;)

Yeah, that'd be cool. We should get in touch soon.. you know my email ;)

All You Can Eat (Grand Opening 09) is my favourite of the bunch. The compression and bass beat your brain in to a relaxed hypnotised state.

thx, mullisaukko :)
i love how everyone seems to have a different favourite (or set of favourites). i'm going to go ahead and take this fact as a compliment.

Dear earth netlabel people,

We recently send to your planet a transmission of our one, Mixor. It features a long netlabel set done illegaly during one of our secret reunion. For now some decades, music is totally illegal in our planet. Music has ever been the foundation of our society but since darkeens have taken the control of our territory, it becomes prohibited (darkeens are deaf but can detect many things). Sanction for the mixorian who hears music is the deconnection of its auditive capacity for ever.

But we resist. We don’t have, excepted natural ones, any way to produce music ourself but some years ago we send one of ours to your planet to establish connection between your free platforms of music and our secret communication area.

The set available this week, who celebrates the 200th of Mixotic, was recorded during our annualy meeting when we celebrate the foundation of our civilization and the impact of music in our elevation. It’s also our unique time of reproduction (only music allows us to be fecund). The set lasts 9 hours which is the time for our sexual acts.

We, resistants of Mixor, would like to thank all earth people who give to us freely a way to get access to music. Still you continue doing this, we will survive and can prepare our revolution. One day we will invite you peacily in our recovered land.

Sincerely.
